Section 1003(a) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) requires that State Education Agencies allocate funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to carry out the State's responsibilities under sections 1116 and 1117, including support for Reward Schools to mentor staff at Priority and Focus Schools, and refine and enhance the Reward School’s own best practices.

Funding Opportunity: 2016-17 Title I Basic School Improvement Grant

Section 1003(a) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) requires that State Education Agencies allocate funds to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) for Title I Priority and Focus Schools to meet the progress goals in their District Comprehensive Improvement Plan and School Comprehensive Education Plan(s) (DCIP/SCEP) and thereby improve student performance. These funds are to be used to support implementation of school improvement activities as required in the ESEA flexibility waiver.

The New York State Education Department (NYSED) Child Nutrition Program (CNP) is seeking proposals from vendors to provide Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) software solutions and accompanying integration and support services to replace its current Administrative Review (AR) process and comply with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) requirements.

Funding Opportunity: 1003(g) School Improvement Grant (SIG) (Round 7)

Under New York State Education Department’s (NYSED’s) approved Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) flexibility waiver, the state’s persistently lowest-achieving schools are identified as Priority Schools and may also be placed under registration review (SURR), pursuant to Commissioner’s regulation 100.18. As a result, Priority Schools, with the support of the larger district and school-community, have an opportunity to develop and implement a whole-school change model with the goal of achieving dramatic school-level achievement gains such that the school is in good academic standing within three years.

Funding Opportunity: Prekindergarten for Three-Year Old Students in High-Need School Districts (3PK)
